easy microwave chocolate mug cake









 Y'all know that sometimes a gal just needs some cake.

Some chocolate cake.

Right?

My problem is that if I have a cake in the house, I can't just eat one slice and be done. 

It calls my name.

It beckons me over to it, demands that I eat just one more slice, I mean bite. Ahem.

So here is my solution to my first world problem.

(You know you need to get down on your knees and thank the good Lord, when your idea of a problem is eating too much chocolate cake.)

Chocolate Mug Cake:

4 Tablespoons flour

3 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 Tablespoon cocoa powder
2 pinches salt
2 Tablespoons melted butter
4 Tablespoons milk (almond works great)

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Pour into a large sized mug and microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.


(Watch it because it can overflow while cooking, you may have to stop it and tap mug on the bottom to "deflate" cake before finishing cooking.)

  1. I've been thinking about jumping on the mug cake bandwagon myself. I just have so many bandwagons to be on right now. After those pancakes though...I might have to get to jumping. :-)
